My screen saver will not come on after upgrading to windows 10. My power saving features also will not work correctly after the upgrade. This is quite annoying because I love Windows 10. On the plus side my sleep command on my keyboard works fine. Thanks, Dustin Gibbons.

The HAL 9000 theme replaces the start orb with HAL's eye, and it drops that iconic HAL 900 panel right in the center of the desktop. If you poke HAL in the eye on that panel, he'll talk to you. Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. Plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992.

To diagnose and fix this issue, try the following methods.

Method 1: Power troubleshooter.

I would suggest you to run the Power troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
Type troubleshooter in the search box and then press Enter.
Select Troubleshooting. Click on view all and select Power.
Click next and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue still persist follow the below method.

Method 2: Restore Power Option Settings

Watch movies for free. I would suggest you to restore default settings of power plan and check if it helps.

Press Windows + X, and select the option Control Panel.
Click on the Power Options icon.
Click on Change advanced power settings.
Select the option “Restore default settings for this plan”.

Method 3: Install latest drivers.

I would suggest you to install the latest drivers including chipset drivers from the manufacturer's website and check.

These options didn't work..

Going to try to reset my windows from the settings menu. Though will reset delete all of my stuff on my other hard drives or just stuff on my windows hard drives?

No. I should not need a degree in computer software engineering, nor should I have to go in and manually manage every component of a $2500 high-end computer just to make the operating system operate correctly. Isn't windows 10 supposed to be the latest and greatest? I am not a Mac guy, but I can certainly see the logic in some of their arguments..

I have tried everything. Was told from a local retailer they have received a lot complaints about this issue.

I have noticed that after restart all your screensaver information that was saved from Windows 8 or 8.1 will show up.

I tried all your methods. I use razor periphelials for gaming. Once I unistalled the software the issue was resolved. Trouble is I need the software cause I am a gamer and its my equipment. I chalk it up to poor design. I never had issues with windows 7 .I guess I will go back. Windows 10 is a fail product. Do more testing guys, u really didn't have to rush it.

Are you saying we have to use the default settings? That we can't adjust them to our preferences? Why provide the option to adjust them at all? Your solution isn't much of a solution.
